Cancelling or changing a reservation

The notice periods, the one situation where an operator charges, and who to tell first.

Effective August 4, 2026. This covers spaces reserved through this desk. A booking made directly with a lot or through another site follows their rules, not these.

The short version

Early word is all it takes. Give the desk a day and the bay goes back into the pool at no cost to you, because somebody else wants it. The exception is a peak week bay, where the operator has been turning people away to keep it for you.

Notice periods

More than 24 hours before drop off
Cancel or change at no charge on any ordinary week.
Between 24 and 4 hours before
Normally free, though it is the operator's call. We put the question to them and come back with the answer before any charge exists.
Under 4 hours before
The operator may charge for the first day. The amount is theirs and the desk will tell you what it is.
Peak weeks
Around Thanksgiving and through the Christmas fortnight, operators typically require 72 hours and may charge the first day inside that window.
Not turning up
Charged as one day in most cases. The rest of the reservation is released.

Changes rather than cancellations

Most calls are changes, and changes are easy.

A later return, an earlier drop off or a different vehicle of the same size are usually handled with a day of notice at no charge. Extending into a week that is already full is the one that sometimes cannot be done, which is why it is worth telling the desk as soon as a plan slips.

Moving to a different lot type is effectively a new reservation and is re-quoted rather than adjusted, because the daily rate is different.

When your flight moves

A delayed return does not need a call. Your plate is on the reservation, the lot is open, and you drive out. What changes is the count of days, since a started day generally counts as a day.

A cancelled outbound flight does need a call, as early as you know, and the notice periods above are counted from the original drop off time.

Weather

Ice storms close roads here perhaps twice a winter. If you cannot reach the lot because the road is closed, nothing is charged, and the desk would rather hear that at seven in the morning than not at all.

If we cancel

Rare, and for one reason: an operator loses capacity, usually because a level is closed for repair. In that case the desk finds you another lot at the same rate where one exists, and where none does, nothing is charged and you are told as early as we know.

Refunds

No payment is taken by this desk, so there is nothing here to refund. Where an operator has charged you and you believe it is wrong, contact them first. If that goes nowhere, tell the desk and we will take it up, and we stop placing work with operators who treat people badly.

How to cancel or change

Telephone +1 (984) 217-3460 during desk hours, which is fastest, or email deck@voybeam.com. Give the drop off date and the name the request is under.

For anything inside the next few hours, always telephone. Email is read promptly during hours, but a space already held needs a conversation rather than a message in a queue.
